Estimation is a four-player trick-taking card game from the Levant and the Gulf. Winning more than you called is just as costly as winning fewer.
How it plays
Every round moves through the same four phases, in order. The bid you win sets the trump suit for that round — and binds you to a number you now have to hit precisely.
The tension sits in that precision. Overshooting your call loses you points exactly as missing it does, so a strong hand can be as awkward to play as a weak one.
Each player in turn may commit to taking no tricks at all. At most two players per round.
Players bid a number and a suit. The highest bidder names trump and becomes the caller.
Everyone else declares how many tricks they expect to win under that trump.
Thirteen tricks are played out, then every call is settled — made or missed.
Playing with friends
Open a public table and let anyone join, or create a private one and share the code. Add friends by username and see who is online before you deal.
If someone drops mid-game, a bot takes their seat so the round still finishes — and hands the seat back the moment they reconnect. Tables can be played solo or in teams, over a short, medium or full-length game.
